Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Position Overview: 

The Director of Benefits is responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and administration of all Benefit programs in the U.S. and Canada. This position will also help support certain benefit related activities in Europe and Asia.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of benefit programs and practices with the ability to lead initiatives that drive organizational goals. This position requires a strategic mindset with the ability to execute and resolve issues.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage benefit programs including retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans and voluntary plans.
  • Responsible for oversight and administration associated with the company’s benefit platforms.
  • Communicate and interface with team members, benefit plan consultants, vendors, legal advisors and administrators regarding benefit policies, eligibility and coverage issues, and enrollment procedures.
  • Works with consultants and third-party vendors to manage networks, coverage, services, and costs.
  • Partners with other functions in areas such as legal and finance to build new programs, manage risk to the company, and understand the legal implications of policy or design changes.
  • Participate in vendor selection process to secure best-in-class health and welfare carriers to administer Centric Brands benefit plans.
  • Ensure integrity of benefits data and compliance with appropriate regional, state and federal regulations.
  • Responsible for all monthly benefit related analytics, reporting, and dashboards.
  • KPI reporting across all benefit plans, deriving insights that lead to meaningful recommendations for new or changed programs and/or processes.
  • Analyze, record, and submit invoices related to benefit program offerings.
  • Oversees leave of absence program and manage third party FMLA/disability carriers and vendors to ensure Federal, State and Local compliance.
  • Oversee the worker’s compensation processes and required OSHA reporting.
  • Work with Internal Communications to design and develop clear and comprehensive benefits communications.
  • Lead ongoing management of wellness and work-life programs.
  • Ensure successful execution of annual open enrollment.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical staff, both internal and external, to achieve desired benefits program and platform results.
  • Handles escalated benefit inquiries to ensure equitable, courteous resolution.
  • Oversee and manage one Benefits Analyst to help support this function.
  • Actively stays abreast of global/local market practices, trends, and requirements to ensure benefit offerings remain market competitive, financially sound, and legally compliant.
  • Support merger and acquisition activity.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 - 12 years of benefits and HRIS administration experience.
  • Experience managing benefit programs in an apparel environment is preferred.
  • Strong familiarity working with and managing ADP benefits platform (ADP Health and Welfare Service Engine).
  • High level of technical aptitude - skilled in MS Office, advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated experience in benefits analysis and data analysis to identify improvements.
  • Ability to see broad strategic HR issues, apply rewards programming/recommend alternative solutions.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently, capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to motivate, drive, and influence, and collaborate with others cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
  • Innovative, high-energy, entrepreneurial mindset with experience taking initiative and owning end-to-end deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record developing benefits and wellness strategies.
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
  • Extremely high level of confidentiality and discretion is required.
  • Ability to travel.

Salary Range: $132,000 - $180,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
