Specific Responsibilities Would Include

 

The Sr. Network Architect is responsible for stewarding the daily operations of Centric Networks while owning the overall Network Strategy and Architecture for network (LAN/WAN) and security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, etc) for Centric Brands. This includes the design, configuration, installation, deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of network services, and documenting designs, processes and procedures. This position will be involved with global enterprise projects and design. This position will oversee the activities of the managed services provider who runs the daily operations of Centric Networks and also serve as a level 4 escalation point for production issues. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Primary point of contact for all network related functions
  • Partner with Managed Network Services Provider to hold them accountable to SLA’s, and deliver monthly metrics and reporting which demonstrate the value they are bringing to the organization.
  • Plan and implement all aspects of the network infrastructure to support data, voice, video and security
  • Define, document, and enforce established network and security policy standards
  • Work with vendors on network design upgrades, investigate new technologies and be involved with Information Security and Disaster recovery testing
  • Work in conjunction with other IT departments to securely plan, deploy, design and troubleshoot issues and implement new functions.
  • Provide networking and security architectural and engineering support experience across local, regional and global areas
  • Recommend and evaluate new technologies
  • Manage communication and coordination of resources during outage situations, guide engineers from different groups to work together to resolve outages and restore business functionality as quickly as possible
  • Provide leadership to junior engineers and network operations team
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability and availability to work occasional nights/weekends assignments as necessary

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8 plus years managing enterprise networks
  • 5 plus years of data center design
  • 3 plus years of managing an enterprise network technology team
  • CCNP Certification Preferred
  • CCIE Routing and Switching certification is a plus
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Meraki Firewalls/Switches/AP’s, Fortinet Firewalls/VPN/FortiNAC,, Cisco Routers/Switches/AP’s/wireless, Cisco Call Manager, F5 Load Balancers
  • Azure network technologies
  • In depth understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies such as BGP/EIGRP/OSPF,
  • Spanning Tree, DNS/DHCP, VOIP, QoS, etc
  • WAN topologies such as MPLS, DMVPN, SD-WAN
  • Experience configuring and supporting SolarWinds
  • Design and implementation of Azure network solutions utilizing Network Security Gateways,
  • Virtual Firewalls and other virtual networking/security appliances
  • Network monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment to ensure performance, reliability and security in a dynamic 24-7-365 production network environment
