Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Handle end to end product development till shipment, ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and on time delivery.

 

Product Management & Vendor Relations

  • Work independently on the assigned product categories and being the key communicator for the assigned product areas in the business stream.
  • Responsible for price negotiation with suppliers to maximize customer interest at margin levels.
  • Communicate with internal customers on a regular basis to provide up-to-date info about the status of product development, production and shipment of garments.
  • Source and develop new vendor factories, ensuring they meet the company's quality and production standards.
  • Conduct onboarding training for new vendor factories, providing them with the necessary guidelines and procedures to meet the company's requirements.
  • Coordinate with compliance team for FE renew and factory corrective action plan.
  • Assign jobs to the sub-ordinate Merchandisers/Assistant Merchandisers/Product developers and provide guidance/support as required.

Production Monitoring and Order Management

  • Responsible for the coordination of all operational activities from proto sample development, costing and production tracking, fabric and trim development, and WIP Follow-ups on regular basis
  • Monitor production in the assigned factories and maintain liaison with QA and compliance team /Factory Mgt Team for quality, inspections, delivery deadlines, etc.
  • Communicate order details and requirements to suppliers / production units and manage and control the whole process pre and post order placement ensuring quantity, quality, order specification and delivery dates are achieved.
  • Control and track critical path, forecast delays and course corrective action if needed with proactive action plans to ensure On Time Delivery.
  • Identify and diagnose production problems and work with suppliers to present alternatives to internal customers and line seniors.
  • Closely monitor the sampling approval process and ensure timely submission along with good execution.
  • Handle all lab dips, bulk fabric color, and quality submissions, ensuring compliance with the specified standards and requirements.
  • Manage Packing material approval (e.g. UPC ticket, sticker, carton marking etc.)
  • Ensure factory make space booking to shipping line and handover goods on time, provide the required shipping documents in timely manner after shipment.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • University graduate in Fashion Design/ Merchandising/ Retail, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years related experience in merchandising, especially in womenswear.
  • Proven experience with premium brands background.
  • Passion for women’s fashion and a good sense of style.
  • Commercial mentality with consumer insights. Capable of translating current trends into a marketable collection with a modern style.
  • Keep abreast of latest merchandising trends and best practices.
  • Good English communication skill
  • Solid Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim, and print techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented and meticulous.
  • People Management experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel
