Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Buyer has the responsibility for driving the business growth, and managing the overall sales forecasting, inventory management and buying decisions for the Izod brand. This role is responsible for generating seasonal merchandise plans, assortment strategies, and vendor negotiations to maximize and grow the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a competitive merchandise assortment plan that is customer focused and monitors and adjusts sales plan by staying abreast of own business, fashion/industry trends and competition
  • Seasonal assortment plans (line lists) to ensure product is aligned with brand vision and sales goals
  • Responsible for completing planned collection buys
  • Plan key items to optimize business
  • Responsible for working with team to ensure timely flow of product
  • Provides input in creating the exit strategy and inventory aging standards
  • Work along with a cross functional team to decide what styles move to markdown in a timely manner
  • Work with Planning Manager for Open to Buy (OTB) planning
  • Reforecast above as needed and integrate into OTB
  • Manage and Communicate weekly selling reports, evaluate stock levels to establish action plan, and generate reorders
  • Recap and evaluate seasonal performance by store, class, and department
  • Review weekly business and note changes to financial plan
  • Communicate promotional needs to upper management and creative team
  • Liaison with CS/supply chain ops to ensure new styles are entered into the system and added to the bulk
  • Create Shopify Product uploads as soon as new styles are in the system
  • Address any issues related to meeting delivery dates
  • Communicate best sellers on a weekly basis
  • Review and action on OOS styles that are in high demand
  • Send weekly updates on styles we have inventory available for and are not yet live on the site
  • Send promotional opportunities on a monthly basis

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Able to communicate clearly and comfortably with senior management
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Critical thinking/problem solving ability
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Able to independently organize and prioritize broad workload to meet deadlines
  • Minimum of 3 years already in a buying role with a combined 5-8 years of experience
  • Previous experience working with Shopify is required
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and internet research)
  • Assortment optimization
  • Business Planning

Salary Range: $74,900-$95,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
