Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Print Designer plays a pivotal role in supporting the continuous development of commercial and innovative print designs, across all our soft accessory brands. These designs should accurately reflect the brand DNA, meet market needs and directly contribute to increased revenues. 

 

The Print Designer will ensure that the designs that are produced are executed with excellence and accuracy and follow each brands’ codes. 

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Research and identify trends in both prints and products.
  • Work to execute print needs across multi brand licensees and internal private label for Wholesale, Retail and Off price accounts.
  • Ensure maintenance of digital library by brand.
  • Execute seasonal designs up to 4 times a year, across all brands in our accessories division portfolio.
  • Design according to set out product plans, sales needs, emerging trends, in line with product development calendar.
  • Create print packages including factory ready layouts, pitch sheets and executing pantone selection.
  • Provide ideas and inspiration on a seasonal basis on new print techniques and trends in market.
  • Ability to demonstrate a wide range of experience in graphic design, hand painting and sketching with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Work in a team environment, with the ability to remain agile to meet tight deadlines

 

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in print design.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience of working with or for luxury brands
  • Passionate about fashion and design
  • Ability to multi-task on diverse projects and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative
  • Creativity, technical capability, ability to sketch and hand paint
  • Extensive knowledge of color ways, construction as relates to print execution, fabrication, knowledge of printing sample and production process.
  • Expert in print techniques and when these should be implemented, i.e. screen, digital, etc.
  • Woven pattern work experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine arts and or Fashion Design

Salary Range: $75,000-80,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
