Production/Product Development

From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, order placement, pricing, quality control and getting the finished product where it needs to be, our production/product development team is responsible for ensuring we keep our standards high and our business profitable at every step of the journey. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

  • Works directly with design directors & design team to launch new styles each season into development
  • Helps to source and mange new fabrics, counter development and costing comparisons
  • Manages initial Proto costing from vendors in partnership with production and works directly with Merch teams to align on margin targets
  • Leads Proto costing meeting with production team at the beginning of each season
  • Attends Proto fittings with design and tech teams
  • Attends all fabric and vendor meetings
  • Receive, log and organize all incoming fabric, samples, knit downs and lab dips
  • Meets weekly with all vendors to discuss WIPs and development timelines
  • Works closely with design at tech pack hand off stages so that information is given to vendor properly
  • Downloads SMS coordinator on all styles once styles are adopted in the line
  • Follow up and track all Proto styles with vendors and update tracker accordingly
  • Ensure that Proto samples are in-house on time for all meetings needs
  • Proactively follow up with each vendor to ensure timely delivery of Protos
  • Work cross-functionally and with vendors to come up with creative solutions/workarounds in order to improve execution of Protos
  • Receive, log and organize all incoming Protos
  • Participate in the allocation meeting at the beginning of each season
  • Communicate to each vendor at the beginning of the season; the development timeline/due dates
  • Organize Proto sample lines for in house marketing and design teams so rack is ready for internal meetings
  • Update PLM with HTS classifications per season
  • Responsible for both Men’s and Women’s division seasonal lines
  • Additional tasks as requested by management

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills (Excel)
  • Familiarity with FLEX PLM, a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Must be efficient with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate the organizational ability to facilitate multi-tasking in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Have enthusiasm and be self-motivated, have a passion for fashion and clothes, and love challenges
  • Strong communication skills
  • Has a strong understanding of the product lifecycle calendar

Salary Range: $62,400 - $74,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
