Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Position Description:

Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Vice President Financial Planning to join its Kids Division. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands.

 

Financial Planning (65%):

  • Support the transformation of the Finance and Planning function for the Kids Division
  • Responsible for the consolidation of Sales and Margin plans across all Kids divisions, providing insightful variance analysis for deep business understanding, in partnership with Planning and Sales teams
  • Work with Planning and Sales division leads to develop channel and customer profitability analyses
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis by customer and business line vs LE, Budget and LY to understand key business drivers
  • Work with divisional planners to identify business risks and opportunities to maximize sales, profitability and inventory turn objectives as part of the forecast process.
  • Develop repeatable sales and margin financial models to support International Financial plans for non-US based operations (Canada, Europe, APAC, etc)
  • Own and streamline reporting, develop automation for improved business analysis, providing leadership with easy-to-understand dashboards and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain models for royalty forecasting and guaranteed royalty minimum shortfalls
  • Oversee unit and dollar receipt and inventory planning. 
  • Collaborate with EVP Finance and SVP of Planning on strategic initiatives to achieve financial targets and corporate goals

Order Book Management (20%):

  • Oversee order book against sales and margin plans, ensuring system accuracy and implementing controls where necessary.
  • Working with Operations, monitor daily booking trends and report, analyze and track holds and move-ups to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate daily with both Operations and Sales in achieving monthly sales targets and assigning actions when necessary.

Inventory Management and Planning (15%):

  • Support SVP Planning to effectively manage open-to-buy and inventory flows
  • Drive inventory / ATS strategies with salespeople to improve turns & maximize sales.
  • Partner with supply chain and operations team on vessel bookings and inbound receipt flow, helping to prioritize containers to support monthly sales

Customers & Relationships:

  • Collaborate with peers and with divisional planners to ensure consistency of processes and the sharing of best practices
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional partners in production, planners, merchandising and sales.
  • Partner with IT to develop standard reporting and analysis tools. Drive standardization process and best practices that support key planning initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the planning team, promoting professional development and growth opportunities

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 15+ years’ experience leading and developing finance/planning organizations
  • 10+ years’ progressive wholesale experience in apparel and/or consumer products is required
  • Experienced in leading key strategic initiatives and supporting change management objectives
  • Strong analytical and business acumen
  • Advanced Excel, SAP, SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office (aka AO) or similar business analytics platforms
  • Experienced with planning and merchandising applications
  • Collaborative ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills

Salary Range:  $230,000 - $240,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
