Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Overall Responsibilities                                                                                                                                       

Handle end to end product’s development till shipment, ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and on time delivery.

 

  • Product Development: Oversee product development, costing, and price negotiation.
  • Sampling and Approval: Monitor the sampling approval process closely to ensure timely submission and proper execution.
  • Fabric Submissions: Handle all lab dips, bulk fabric color, and quality submissions.
  • T&A (WIP) Monitoring: Regularly follow up on T&A, ensuring timely delivery and reporting.
  • Supplier and Buyer Collaboration: Negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales with buyers and suppliers.
  • Customer Relationships: Maximize customer interest while maintaining margin levels, and build constructive relationships with channel partners.
  • Factory Coordination: Ensure factory space booking with shipping lines and timely handover of goods. Provide all required shipping documents promptly post-shipment.
  • Compliance Coordination: Work with the compliance team for FE renewals and factory corrective action plans.
  • Price Negotiation: Coordinate price negotiations with suppliers as designated by the Sr. Merchandiser, Assistant Merchandise Manager, or Merchandise Manager.
  • Critical Path Management: Track critical paths, forecast potential delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Production Coordination: Responsible for overseeing production at assigned factories, maintaining communication with the QA departments and Factory Management Team to ensure quality, inspections, and delivery deadlines are met.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

Additional Requirements                                                                                                                                       

  • 4-5 years working experience in merchandising
  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
  • Professional qualification in related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel
