Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. The challenges are exciting and the possibilities endless – as you contribute your skills in a vibrant, customer- and people-centric culture that celebrates you as a valuable member of the team.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

  • Assist the Technical Design Manager in creating accurate initial specifications and determining proper fit and construction details.
  • Participate in fit sessions, take detailed notes, and capture photos during fittings; assist in communicating fit feedback to vendors.
  • Support the Technical Design team by measuring samples, creating fit schedules, and maintaining tracking and measurement records.
  • Adhere to established fit, construction, and safety standards by helping to produce accurate specification packages including sketch details, base size specifications, grading, and construction.
  • Participate in 3D initiatives: Assist in organizing and maintaining a digital library for fit blocks, approved samples, and work areas.
  • Collaborate with Design teams and senior Technical Designers to support 3D project requests.
  • Prepare 3D project templates, collect and photograph physical samples, and organize production patterns and packages for the overseas 3D team.
  • Coordinate and schedule 3D meetings with cross-functional teams to review body details developed in Browzwear.
  • Participate in virtual design reviews and remote collaboration sessions with global teams, contributing to 3D-focused projects.
  • Support additional technical design projects and initiatives as needed.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Apparel related Associates or Bachelor’s degree from a Fashion School preferred
  • Working knowledge of Browzwear 3D V-stitcher
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Flex PLM
  • Must possess strong knowledge of garment construction, fit standards, understanding of patternmaking, and grade rules
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Must possess good time management and organizational skills
  • Must possess the ability to follow through with task completion
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Superior organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Apparel related Associates or Bachelor’s degree from a Fashion School preferred

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
