Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Buying and Planning to join the Jennifer Fisher Jewelry team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing buying strategies, managing inventory, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive business growth and achieve financial targets. This role requires strong analytical skills, vendor relationship management, and an eye for both product selection and trend forecasting within the luxury jewelry market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Buying Strategy and Assortment Planning

  • Develop and execute buying strategies aligned with business goals and market trends, including assortment planning, pricing strategies, and seasonal product selection.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to curate collections that reflect Jennifer Fisher’s brand vision and customer preferences.
  • Partner with Financial Planning and Merchandise Planning teams to ensure that department-level financial targets support assortment strategy.

Inventory and Financial Management

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels to balance demand and supply while avoiding overstock or stockouts.
  • Monitor and analyze weekly sales, item performance, and inventory flow to adjust strategies for maximizing sales, margins, and turnover.
  • Manage budgets and track profitability, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and delivering financial results.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Partner with Marketing, Digital, and Merchandising teams to develop promotional plans that drive category growth both online and in-store.
  • Communicate regularly with senior leadership on category performance, opportunities for growth, and adjustments to the buying strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across product development, marketing, and sales strategies.

Market and Trend Analysis

  • Stay informed on emerging trends in the jewelry industry, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies to inform buying and assortment decisions.
  • Conduct market research and attend trade shows to identify new opportunities for product innovation and category expansion.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in buying, planning, or merchandise management, preferably within the luxury fashion or jewelry industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, and financial planning.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present data-driven insights to senior leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and projects.

Preferred

  • Experience with luxury or fine jewelry brands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, planning software, and analytics tools.

Salary Range: $102,000 – $125,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
