In this high-impact role, we are seeking an experienced IT executive with a broad background in technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will drive and execute the strategic plan to ensure the stable, secure, and cost-effective operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with core vendors supporting Centric’s technology platform.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of server and network systems, storage solutions, virtual environments, and cloud architecture.
  • Support the SVP/CIO and the broader technology team in the design and enforcement of infrastructure-related IT governance, legal, and regulatory compliance policies (e.g., access management, change management).
  • Lead and manage a diverse IT team: set clear job expectations, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, provide feedback, and guide professional development to meet measurable goals.
  • Lead initiatives involving business process reengineering, enterprise architecture, business case development, analytics, contract and vendor management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all phases of infrastructure projects to ensure timely delivery, scope alignment, and budget compliance. Apply strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Develop strategic outsourcing partnerships that enable scalable and repeatable project execution.
  • Set infrastructure strategy and standards while ensuring compliance across all technical domains—including data centers, cloud environments, server technologies, network and communication systems (LAN, WAN, internet, intranet, wireless, telephone), and security. Establish and maintain disaster recovery standards, including annual testing.
  • Design and implement strategic infrastructure plans to ensure current and future capacity needs are met.
  • Define hardware, software, and communication standards in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and apply testing methodologies to ensure infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.
  • Document systems workflows and application processes clearly and concisely.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure budgets; conduct short- and long-term financial forecasting to support scalability and company growth.
  • Maintain regular written and in-person communication with executives, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding infrastructure-related initiatives and updates.
  • Negotiate with vendors and contractors, working closely with internal procurement to secure infrastructure products and services. Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scopes of work, and related documentation.
  • Develop, retain, and grow IT talent through structured career development planning for team members.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the implementation, management, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems—including data centers, cloud architectures, server technologies, LANs, WANs, telephone, and voice/video/data communication systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and critical thinking ability to build and lead a high-performing engineering team.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong presentation and communication skills; focused on delivering exceptional user experience.
  • Experience supervising project engineering and implementation teams, with oversight of teams of 20 or more.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and effectively communicate complex technical information to internal and external audiences.
