Specific Responsibilities Would Include

From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, order placement, pricing and quality control and getting the finished product where it needs to be, our production team is responsible for ensuring we keep our standards high and our business profitable at every step of the journey. We are looking for a Manager, Sourcing, to join our growing team and supporting brands like Merrell.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Collaborate with design team to ensure that the vision and objectives are understood and executed and prior to new season for the development of new trends (Style, fabric, washing, trims…etc.)
  • Ensure SMS is developing by right vendor for workable price range, good performance from previous season.
  • Responsible for communication with overseas vendors to follow up on sourcing, costing and ensure factories meet the company standards.
  • Leverage raw materials within and across divisions by communicating with team members to ensure we are aligned.
  • Ensure to maintain solid vendor base and establish good relationship to support the business.
  • Ensure meeting company margin set goal.
  • Margin report maintenance.
  • Update SAP, PLM, OSCA, IBT
  • Review and approve customer compliance requirements, testing requirements, packing requirements including labels, tickets, packing, AQL requirements by customer, QC requirements, etc.
  • Qualifying and on boarding new vendor in close collaboration with compliance team
  • Attend certain merchandising meetings in collaboration with sales and design team
  • Raise questions when foreseeing potential problems and develop actions to solve them.

  • Thorough understanding of fashion apparel retail merchandising
  • Must have a strong knowledge of fabrics including fabric, color, yarn, garment construction, fit and specifications.
  • Must have knowledge on social compliance requirements.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Established relationship building skills with Buyers, agents, and factories.
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficient with Excel
  • MUST have 5+ years of experience in overseas product development/sourcing (apparel)

Salary Range: $86,400-$110,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
