Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Assistant Merchandiser supports the Merchandising team in the planning, development, and execution of product assortments to drive sales, profitability, and brand growth. This role works closely with cross-functional partners including design, production, planning, and sales to ensure timely product launches, accurate systems and alignment with brand strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Track product samples, update line sheets, and maintain accurate product information across systems.
    • Conduct competitive market research on trends, pricing, and assortments to identify opportunities.
    • Partner with Director of Merchandising on seasonal line reviews and assortment presentations.
    • Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure product timelines and deliverables are met.
    • Provide administrative support including sample management, calendar and meeting prep.
    • Prepare seasonal buy sheets to understand assortment history by retailer.
    • Maintain and provide selling tools for the Sales team for Market.
    • Analyze customer feedback and reviews to suggest assortment or product improvements.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or retail (internship or assistant level acceptable).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and merchandising systems (e.g., PLM, ERP).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commercial awareness and strong understanding of the retail landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong eye for product, trends, and customer preferences.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
