Specific Responsibilities Would Include

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the manager and team leads to prepare and manage artwork for production, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications. This role demands proficiency in design software, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the manager and team leads to understand and execute design requirements.
  • Prepare artwork for integration into Flex PLM, including issuing style numbers.
  • Accurately list and manage colors in artwork to ensure consistency within a style.
  • Adhere to license color requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of design layout and understand how art is scaled for production.
  • Be aware of fabrication and printing restrictions to ensure designs are feasible.
  • Identify and rectify errors in artwork before finalization.
  • Work closely with leads to achieve the intended artistic vision.
  • Understand and apply markers/patterns to design.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

 

Operations and Results:

  • Maintain seamless communication with the manager to update on project progress and address any issues.
  • Review completed assignments to ensure all criteria are met and accuracy is maintained.
  • Recognize the importance of precision in design and execution.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledgeable in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

Competency Requirements ((if applicable))   

  • Good at English communication; Ensure accuracy of product development logs, line sheets, boards, and design archives library; ensure maintenance of designs in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system or shared drives
  • Good at Create Illustrator sketches; Prepare specification sheets and line sheets and update as necessary in PLM
  • Well grasp of garment variety styling, sewing construction and coordinate raw material, trim, artwork; maintain BOM, TP & fabric/trim library
  • Can work positively and with good comprehension, cooperation.
  • Work with carefulness and responsible attitude.
  • Work close with NY Designer/Senior Designer/Tech Design, send updated TPs, review prints and graphics and advise revisions where appropriate; coordinate the updates on time into fit process with Vendors.
