Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Senior Vice President of Sourcing is a senior executive responsible for defining and executing Centric Brands’ global sourcing strategy across assigned brands, product categories, and regions. This role provides enterprise-level leadership over vendor strategy, manufacturing partnerships, cost management, capacity planning, compliance, and operational excellence to deliver high-quality, profitable products at scale. The SVP partners closely with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, Planning, Compliance, Logistics, and Finance to ensure that sourcing strategies support brand vision, margin objectives, speed-to-market requirements, and long-term growth. This leader drives innovation, mitigates risk, and ensures a competitive, ethical, and resilient global supply chain.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Sourcing Excellence & Innovation

  • Define and lead the global sourcing strategy across assigned brands and product categories, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Build, optimize, and govern a strategic global vendor and factory base, leveraging enterprise scale to drive cost efficiencies, innovation, and speed-to-market.
  • Partner with corporate sourcing, production, and supply chain teams to unlock cross-brand synergies and best practices.
  • Continuously assess global market conditions, geopolitical risks, labor trends, raw material availability, and cost drivers to proactively adjust sourcing strategy.
  • Champion innovation in materials, components, processes, sustainability, and manufacturing technologies; collaborate with Product Development and Design to commercialize relevant innovations.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of material, component, and construction archives to support design and production teams.

Operations, Financial Performance & Risk Management

  • Provide executive oversight of the approved vendor matrix, including capacity, costing structures, production capabilities, and regional allocation.
  • Lead and approve high-level cost negotiations to ensure margin optimization while maintaining quality and vendor sustainability.
  • Establish and govern production standards, costing methodologies, and margin controls across brands and regions.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Responsibility teams to ensure adherence to codes of conduct, ethical sourcing practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee customs classification strategy and collaboration with Import/Logistics teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure on-time delivery performance through disciplined calendar management, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Provide executive oversight of quality assurance strategy, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Capacity Planning, Forecasting & Allocation

  • Partner with Sales, Planning, and Finance to forecast demand and align sourcing capacity to commercial plans.
  • Approve production allocation strategies across regions, countries, vendors, and factories to optimize cost, speed, and risk diversification.
  • Make strategic commitments to materials or production capacity when appropriate to support volume growth and margin goals.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance at a portfolio level, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional & External Relationships

  • Serve as a senior partner to Sales, Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Operations, and Planning to ensure sourcing decisions support customer and brand strategies.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key vendors, agents, and factory partners globally.
  • Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication across internal teams and external partners regarding production status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Represent the company with customers and strategic partners to support commercial objectives.
  • Travel internationally on a regular basis to sourcing offices, factories, and vendor partners.

Leadership, Talent & Organizational Development

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a global sourcing and production organization, including regional teams, sourcing offices, and external agents.
  • Set organizational structure and staffing strategies aligned with business scale, category complexity, and growth plans.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top-tier sourcing and production talent; build a strong leadership bench.
  • Establish performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a senior leader within the broader organization, contributing to enterprise initiatives and managing up effectively.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in global sourcing, production, or supply chain within consumer products; multi-brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in global manufacturing processes, materials, components, and production technologies across diverse product categories.
  • Extensive global vendor and factory relationships across multiple regions.
  • Proven track record of margin improvement, cost negotiation, and operational scale.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen with the ability to balance long-term strategy and near-term execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills; effective in matrixed environments.
  • High organizational discipline and ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise PLM/ERP systems

Salary Range: $300,000-375,000

 

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent. Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
