Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Director of Finance to join its team. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands.


Responsibilities:

The Director of Finance will report to the EVP, Finance and Planning and will support all financial activity for the Kids Division.  The position will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Planning & Analysis including but not limited to forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, month-end close and variance analysis.  This role requires significant accuracy and deep attention to detail.

  • Oversee full budget and LE (latest estimate) financial planning process for Global Kids business.
  • Create and maintain P&Ls for US, Canada and Europe (with support from Europe Finance) as well as the development of financial models to address business needs.  Support company with cashflow and balance sheet planning (as necessary).
  • Manage, forecast and control all P&L items and corresponding reserves, inclusive of all sales dilution (customer terms, advertising, violations and margin support) and operating costs, ensuring P&L reserves are aligned with Corporate Accounting policies.
  • Own royalty and shortfall forecasting across all Kids licenses, accounting for all contractual requirements, aligned with company royalty accounting policy, creating models to account for specific addendums and/or exclusions.
  • Identify process improvements to control all sales dilution and ensure reserves requirements reconcile to needs of the business.  Partner with Accounting and A/R on process and validity.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to forecast and analysis headcount and organizational costs
  • Provide detailed analysis on standard costing, helping to understand impacts of freight, duty, FOB and other costs loads as necessary.
  • Work closely with planning team on inventory projections, leveraging forecasts to develop inbound and outbound plans by warehouse, supporting Operational finance and capacity plans.
  • Develop and reconcile in-depth variance analysis versus budget and prior year.
  • Review monthly expense results with functional department heads as necessary.
  • Finance point of contact on SAP including profit center management and overall financial design.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to automate, streamline and improve reporting and budgeting procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive list of risks and opportunities to inform management decisions
  • Provide cost/benefit analysis of various financial elements of potential new initiatives.
  • Identify, track and analyze key metrics that impact the business.
  • Lead in preparation of monthly management presentations/reporting packages.
  • Ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • Manage 1 Sr Analyst

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 10+ years professional experience in corporate finance, accounting or financial planning & analysis. MBA or CPA preferred (but not required)
  • Strong critical thinking skills and understanding of budgeting, planning and closing processes.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Meets and manages deadlines effectively.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a positive attitude.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fashion or Consumer Products industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • BPC/SAP experience a plus.
  • Pro-active team player with a desire to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
