Overall Responsibilities

 

The Specialist, Customs Compliance, supports the execution of US import compliance activities from Asia. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to US Customs regulations by partnering closely with regional teams, customs brokers, and the US-based Customs Compliance team. This is a detail-oriented, execution-focused role suited to someone early in their customs compliance career who is looking to develop technical expertise in a global organization.


Key Responsibilities
• Conduct post-entry audit reviews for US imports to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs regulations
• Maintain organized and audit-ready records in accordance with US Customs recordkeeping requirements
• Assist with research and resolution of internal compliance inquiries (e.g. TSG Tracker Ticket requests)
• Support duty drawback processes through documentation collection and validation
• Generate and analyze reports from systems such as ACE to support compliance monitoring and reporting
• Support ongoing compliance projects and initiatives as needed

Additional Requirements

 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
• Foundational knowledge of US customs regulations and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
• Familiarity with US trade programs and free trade agreements (e.g. USMCA, AGOA, JFTA, GSP, QIZ, etc.) – strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Descartes, Infor-Nexus, SAP, and PLM preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
