Costing Manager

As a Costing Manager at Centric Brands, you will play a critical execution‑focused role in managing detailed product costing, margin accuracy, and financial analysis across a multi‑brand portfolio. This position is highly analytical and pre‑production driven, with a strong emphasis on hands‑on Excel work, costing reconciliation, and margin management throughout the seasonal calendar.

In this role, you will own end‑to‑end costing for products before production-analyzing cost components, validating vendor quotes, running pricing and margin scenarios, and ensuring financial integrity at every milestone. Success in this role requires comfort operating deep in the data, managing repeatable costing processes, and translating complex financial details into clear, actionable outputs for cross‑functional partners.

While collaboration with sourcing, production, and finance is essential, this is not a conceptual or design‑led role. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment, enjoys rigorous analytical work, and brings discipline and structure to seasonal cost execution.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

  • Own end‑to‑end product costing across multiple brands and seasonal calendars, with a primary focus on pre‑production accuracy and margin integrity
  • Build and maintain detailed cost breakdowns (materials, labor, trims, packaging, freight, duties) within tight calendar milestones
  • Perform ongoing margin, IMU, and profitability analysis across brands, channels, and assortments
  • Identify and reconcile cost variances between vendor quotes, historical costs, and internal targets
  • Execute hands‑on financial analysis in Excel on a daily basis, including cost roll‑ups, reconciliations, and scenario modeling
  • Run pricing and margin simulations to evaluate business impact and support decision‑making
  • Track and report on FOB, landed cost, AUC, IMU, and margin performance
  • Partner with sourcing and production teams to validate vendor quotes, assess cost changes, and manage cost risks
  • Support cost negotiations and cost‑reduction initiatives with factories using data‑driven insights
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A and Finance to support margin forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Ensure costing accuracy and consistency across multiple brands, categories, and seasonal timelines
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve costing processes, reporting clarity, and data efficiency
  • Operate with strong calendar discipline, managing multiple costing milestones and deadlines simultaneousl

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Proven experience in fashion or accessories manufacturing, ideally within a multi‑brand environment
  • Strong background in pre‑production product costing and margin management
  • Advanced Excel expertise with comfort working daily in large data sets (pivots, lookups, scenario modeling, reconciliations)
  • Experience managing costing across multiple brands, channels, and seasonal calendars
  • Solid understanding of FOB pricing, landed cost, IMU, and margin targets
  • Familiarity with PLM or ERP systems (Centric PLM, SAP, or similar)
  • Exposure to product development and global sourcing from a costing and financial perspective
