Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The DirectorSourcing & Production is a senior leader responsible for overseeing our Sports and Entertainment brands global production strategy and execution reporting to the SVP of Production and Sourcing for Premium brands. This role manages vendor sourcingproduct development, costing, production timelines, quality assurance, capacity planning, and delivery performance, while leading a global team of production professionals. The Director partners closely with Design, Merchandising, Sales, Planning, and overseas offices to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality product delivery that supports margin goals and speed-to-market objectives. This position requires a leader with deep production and sourcing expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to manage globally distributed teams in a dynamic, high-volume environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Innovation 

  • Develop and implement production strategies that optimize vendor and country matrices, balancing cost, capability, speed, and risk diversification. 
  • Drive costing governance to maintain and improve margin through disciplined cost modeling, negotiation, IMU management, and data accuracy. 
  • Ensure flexibility in production models to adapt to evolving tariff, duty, and trade environments, maintaining competitiveness and resilience. 
  • Partner closely with overseas hubs and vendor teams to ensure understanding of departmental objectives needed through vendor capabilities to drive initiatives that expand competencies as needed 
  • Champion continuous improvement across processes, systems, and vendor capabilities to enhance efficiency and reliability. 

Operations & Results 

  • Lead end-to-end product execution from development through bulk delivery, ensuring brands meet or exceed on-time delivery (OTD), quality, and cost targets throughout the product life cycle. 
  • Transform design aesthetics into commercially viable apparel products that uphold brand vision and meet D2C and wholesale market requirements 
  • Lead cost engineering to maximize product value, optimize margins, and leverage the global sourcing and manufacturing network 
  • Manage vendor performance, ensuring alignment of capacity, cost competitiveness, quality, and speed while improving vendor scorecards year over year. 
  • Oversee capacity planning and production allocation to support seasonal demand, margin targets, and speed-to-market KPIs. 
  • Ensure strong quality assurance oversight in partnership with global QA teams from concept to final bulkexecution. 
  • Maintain costing accuracy and governance; collaborate with Sales, Planning, Finance, and overseas teams to ensure accurate margin forecasts and raw material commitments. 
  • Monitor shipment performance and proactively mitigate risks to meet delivery adherence KPIs. 
  • Govern operational reporting and analytics, ensuring KPIs—delivery, quality, costing accuracy, vendor performance—are visible and actionable. 
  • Oversee trade, customs, and import compliance to protect cost, speed, and risk exposure. 

Customers & Relationships 

  • Act as the production partner to Merchandising, Design, Sales, Planning, and Operations, ensuring alignment on seasonal strategies, margin targets, and delivery requirements. 
  • Build and maintain strong global vendor and factory relationships, ensuring partners meet KPIs for cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and compliance. 
  • Drive cross-functional coordination and communication with internal teams and external partners for timely issue resolution and consistent execution. 
  • Represent production in cross-functional forums, influencing decisions on assortment planning, costing, sourcing footprint, and vendor capability development. 

Leadership & Teams 

  • Lead and develop a global production team across North America and overseas offices, ensuring strong leadership capability and consistent execution. 
  • Build, mentor, and empower product teams to support evolving business needs and seasonal demand cycles. 
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations, aligning teams to measurable KPIs such as IMU, cost accuracy, delivery adherence, and vendor performance. 
  • Build succession plans and strengthen talent pipelines to ensure organizational continuity and readiness for evolving business needs. 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. 
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to advance production strategy and transformation initiatives. 

 

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing Cross functional reportingvisibility to create transparency of supply chain performance and potential risks to plan  
  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing, technical construction, and cost negotiating 
  • 2–4 years of experienceas senior leadershipin apparel production and sourcing 
  • SAPand PLMexperience preferred  
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong teammanagement skills, promoting a positive culture of inclusion, diversity and growth 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize,delegateand meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment  
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); advanced Adobe, Photoshop and Illustrator skills required 

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
